Serves 2

Here's a quick, easy and tasty recipe you'll love making over and over.

Ingredients:

4 fresh soft-shell crabs, cleaned
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 cup buttermilk
Santa Monica Seafood Spicy Mustard Sauce (inside the refrigerated section!)
Vegetable oil, for frying
Lime wedges, for serving
Fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or deep fryer to a temperature of 350°F.

Add buttermilk, flour, salt, paprika, and black pepper to a bowl. Mix.

Dip each soft-shell crab in the flour mixture and then carefully place the crabs into the hot oil, frying them for approximately 3-4 minutes on each side, until they turn golden brown and crispy.

Using a slotted spoon, transfer the fried soft-shell crabs to a plate lined with paper towels to absorb any excess oil.

Serve the battered and fried soft-shell crabs immediately, garnished with fresh parsley (optional) and accompanied by lime and a side of spicy mustard sauce.

Enjoy!
